Thirty-five miles Highway Bridge world’s longes

October 24, Beijing launched its "highway-bridge" of 55 km claiming to have built the longest bridge in the world. This gigantic 2x3 lane maritime highway connects, through the Hong Kong Sea, the city of Macao and mainland China. The trip takes about 4 hours by car and 70 minutes by ferry, this highway will take some 45 minutes.

The construction of this facility has resulted in the construction of suspension bridges, tunnels and artificial islands. The project started in 2009 but has been delayed by many factors, cost overruns, corruption prosecutions, but also the death of workers.

Its price has risen to 120 billion yuan (about 15 billion euros) according to Su Yi, the financial director of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao HZMB Authority.

This bridge is also symbolic for Hong Kong marking its integration.


Le pont autoroutier le plus long du monde

Le 24 octobre, Pékin a inauguré son « pont-autoroute » de 55 km affirmant avoir construit le plus long pont du monde. Cette gigantesque autoroute maritime à 2x3 voies relie, par la mer Hong Kong, la ville de Macao et la Chine continentale. Le trajet qui prenait environ 4 heures en voiture et 70 minutes en ferry, permettra de se rendre à destination en 45 minutes.

Cette installation a nécessité la construction de ponts suspendus, tunnels et îles artificielles.
Le projet a commencé en 2009 mais a été retardé par des dépassements de coût, des poursuites pour corruption, mais aussi le décès d'ouvriers.

Son prix s’élèverait à 120 milliards de yuans (environ 15 milliards d'euros) selon Su Yi, le directeur financier de l’Autorité Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao HZMB.

Ce pont est également symbolique pour Hong Kong car il marque son intégration avec le reste de la Chine.
