Driver kills seven

A 27 year old driver known as Lin Jianxin allegedly plowed his car into roadside pedestrians in East China's Fuzhou city on Monday.
Seven people, including three children have been confirmed dead and twelve others were injured. The injured victims are said to be in a stable condition at the moment. According to the bureau the victims were mostly students from a nearby primary school and their families who had come to join them for their lunch break. Police received a phone call at around 11:19 am saying a man left the scene in his Lexus after hitting pedestrians with the vehicle in what appeared to be an intentional hit and run in Qingshi town, according to the public security bureau of the Fuzhou municipal government. The suspect, Lin Jianxin, told the police that he was quite emotional after a morning court hearing on his divorce from his wife. The police managed to catch and subdue the suspect at approaximately 11:30 am. It has been claimed that Lin had threatened to ignite a gas explosion to create more damage.
There are many photos taken by journalists of the crime scene, there's blood and children's homework covered in their blood. The procurer of Minhou County approved the arrest and charged him with endangering public safety through dangerous methods.

Opinion:
I think that Lin Jianxin's crime shouldn't go unpunished; he deserves a long sentence because even though he was undergoing a huge amount of pressure with his divorce, it didn't give him the right to go plowing through a city like that. He injured and even killed innocent people. He might have been emotionally disturbed at the time of his disgraceful act but it's not a reason if everyone drove around endangering other people’s lives whilst being in an emotional state there would be more victims than I could count. There are many sad stories like this in China there are few examples of hit and runs or even D.U.I's (Driving under the influence)..
