No tip for the robots

Almost a dozen restaurants use robots servers in China.

It is often said that machines are getting more intelligent than men but it has proved wrong so far. These robots are unable to understand customers or even carry a soup correctly. In one of three restaurants in Canton, in the south of China, they have been subject to repetitive dysfunctions as they have trouble serving dishes or water. At £5,432 per unit it seems like a waste of money.

However, these glitches have not damaged the reputation of robots in the hearts of Chinese.

Une réputation compromise

Environ une dizaine de restaurants font appel à des robots serveurs en Chine.

On dit souvent que les machines sont plus intelligentes que les hommes mais on peut en douter ici. Ces robots sont incapables de comprendre les clients ou encore de  servir une soupe correctement.

Dans un des trois restaurants à Canton, dans le sud de la Chine, ils ont été victimes de dysfonctionnements répétitifs; ils ont encore du mal à porter, poser des plats ou servir l’eau. Des robots achetés 6780euros l’unité ont été mis au rebut. Quel gaspillage!

Cependant, ces incidents n’ont pas terni l’image des robots dans le cœur des Chinois.
